More than 30 hours of live television coverage on ESPN2 Caribbean; 150 hours of exclusive digital coverage on ESPN Play

ESPN will present exclusive and extensive coverage of golf’s second major event of the year beginning Thursday, June 15 at 1:00 p.m. ET with the 117th U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills in Wisconsin across ESPN2 Caribbean, and ESPN Play.

ESPN2 Caribbean will present more than 30 hours of live coverage complemented by news and information coverage on SportsCenter and ESPNCaribbean.com. Additionally, ESPN Play will offer more than 150 hours of digital coverage including coverage of the Featured Groups of the Day and Featured Holes.

The 117th U.S. Open will feature some of the world’s best golfers including current #1 ranked golfer Dustin Johnson, who will be in field defending his title, as well as Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, and Phil Mickelson.

The U.S. Open, renowned national golf championship in the USA, as well as the ultimate and most comprehensive test in the sport, began in 1895 and has been contested on 51 different courses. Erin Hills, which has never hosted a major golf event, is the first in the state of Wisconsin to be the site of a U.S. Open. The unusual layout of Erin Hills, built to highlight the natural contours of the land, is expected to be one where a combination of shot making and course management is a physical and mental test through a four day competition that will determine the champion.
