Elle Duncan On NABJxNAHJ Convention And Career Fair In Las Vegas

Networking, mentoring and career development are important, the SportsCenter anchor says, but so is the "family reunion" aspect

LAS VEGAS – As many as 5,000 journalists of color are attending the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the National Association Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) Convention and Career Fair at Caesars Palace.

This is each group’s first in-person convention since 2019 due to the pandemic. This year, Disney segments from across the company, including ESPN, ABC News, Disney Parks Experiences and Products, and Nat Geo, collaborated to show up as one.

ESPN is front and center at the conference with more than 130 employees attending, including some of ESPN’s most prominent on-air voices. One of those voices is SportsCenter anchor Elle Duncan, who is participating on multiple panels throughout the five-day conference.

In the video above, Duncan explains why attending the convention is important to her and ESPN.
