Austin Ekeler scores Chargers' first two TDs against Falcons

The Los Angeles Chargers overcame a sleepy start against Atlanta behind another mighty effort from running back Austin Ekeler. After the Chargers found themselves in a double-digit deficit by the end of the first quarter, quarterback Justin Herbert started to feed Ekeler, who rushed for a 2-yard score.

Then on the ensuing series, Ekeler found himself wide open for a 1-yard touchdown reception to give the Bolts a 14-10 lead over the Falcons going into halftime. The running back had 24 yards on six carries and 22 yards on four receptions through the first two quarters. Ekeler is now the third player in NFL history with 10 games with both a rushing and receiving touchdown in his first six seasons, joining Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey.
