Tennessee Titans' Amani Hooker goes on injured reserve with foot injury

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans announced they placed starting safety Amani Hooker on injured reserve on Tuesday. Hooker suffered a foot injury in the third quarter of the Titans' 38-13 loss to Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.

The 2021 season was set to be Hooker's first year as the starting safety alongside veteran Kevin Byard. The 2019 fourth-round pick finished with four interceptions in a reserve role last season, which tied him for the team lead.

Veteran safety Bradley McDougald filled in at safety for Hooker on Sunday. McDougald signed with the Titans on Aug. 16, then was released on Sept. 7 and signed to the practice squad. The Titans added McDougald to their 53-man roster on Monday.

In a corresponding move, the Titans signed kicker Randy Bullock to their 53-man roster from their practice squad and added tight end Tommy Hudson to their practice squad on Tuesday.
