EFL to replace Anthony Knockaert POTY trophy after misspelling

The EFL have promised to replace Anthony Knockaert's Championship Player of the Year award after managing to spell the Brighton forward's name incorrectly on the original trophy.

The French striker was bestowed with the honour at the EFL Awards ceremony at Hilton Park Lane in London earlier this month, but was photographed holding a trophy engraved with the name "Anthony Knockeart."

According to the Daily Mail, the EFL have since been made aware of the error and are currently in process of sending Knockaert a rectified replacement.

With 15 goals, 10 assists and a string of match-winning performances in Brighton's promotion-winning season, we reckon it's the least he deserves.
