New this year to V Week, ESPN and Twitch have teamed up to host a 24-hour live streaming marathon on Twitch (twitch.tv/espnesports) called “Don’t Ever Give Up Day” where various esports and gaming personalities, ESPN talent and high-profile Twitch influencers have an opportunity to share how cancer has affected them.

The event aims to inform the gaming community of the V Foundation’s mission to eradicate cancer through Jim Valvano’s encouragement to laugh, think and cry each day. The 24-hour event is being held on November 28-29 starting at noon PT from downtown Los Angeles. November 28 also marks the beginning of V Week and Giving Tuesday—a day dedicated to giving back through donations and volunteerism to charities throughout the world. Twitch will provide onscreen call to actions and live tracking of donations to the V Foundation at https://tiltify.com/the-v-foundation, game giveaways, viewer interaction and unauthenticated global access. Viewers will be shown multiple ESPY speeches, vignettes for the new ”Cancer Is” campaign creative and encouraged to share personal stories of how cancer has affected them.
