  • ESPN Caribbean to showcase every second of West Indies’ World T20 title defense at home
  • Coverage to feature ESPNcricinfo Match Day Shows on Location in St. Lucia & Antigua

ESPN is bringing all 23 matches from the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 Cup LIVE from the Caribbean as the West Indies aim to defend their 2016 crown on home soil. Matches will be broadcast from Guyana, St. Lucia and Antigua on ESPN Caribbean and ESPN Play — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.

ESPN will have two sets on location, including in St. Lucia for the prelims and in Antigua for the semis and final. To mark this momentous occasion in world cricket and to bring Caribbean fans extended coverage of the Windies’ fixtures, ESPN will be hosting pre-match, mid-innings and post-match studio programmes led by two of the world’s biggest cricketing experts, Jamaica’s very own Alexis Nunes, and Melinda Farrell of Australia and ESPNcricinfo.

This sixth championship is a landmark achievement in women’s cricket, as it is the first Women’s World T20 to be held separate from the Men’s tournament. As such, ESPN will be aiming to capture the distinct flair, vibrancy, passion, rhythm and spirit of the game across all participating islands, from the players, the crowd and the overall Caribbean landscape.

The Windies, led by the #1 ranked T20 all-rounder in the game, Stafanie Taylor, will be defending their crown in Group B alongside England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Group A consists of last edition’s runners-up Australia, as well as India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Ireland. The top two from each Group will advance to the semis with the winners facing off in the Grand Final.

Follow all the action at #WatchThis #WT20 as ESPN Caribbean continues to connect the region’s fans with the sports they love.
