Sacramento Kings guard Garrett Temple told ESPN's The Undefeated on Friday that he is exercising an $8 million player option for next season.
Temple, who waited until Friday's deadline day to make his decision, averaged 8.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per games last season for the Kings.
A nine-year NBA veteran, Temple started 35 of 65 games for Sacramento last season and was a key veteran mentor for the team's young players.
