While high-profile artists like Usher, Metallica, Rascal Flatts and Carlos Santana have ruled the national anthem scene at the NBA Finals, Tuesday night's Game 6 singer will easily upstage all of them when she takes the court in Cleveland.
Meet Marlana VanHoose, a 19-year-old Kentucky native with a powerhouse voice who has become a fan favorite. VanHoose is blind and has cerebral palsy.
If her name sounds familiar, you've probably seen her perform ahead of Kentucky women's basketball games or watched her previous performances with the Cavaliers. And in really, really good news for Cleveland fans, both teams are undefeated on nights she has sung.
Her inspiring story and incredible abilities were featured on an episode of ESPN's E:60 in December, and it's totally worth the next 6 minutes and 32 seconds of your time if you haven't yet seen it.
And if you're hoping for a sneak preview of tonight's rendition, you can check out one of her previous performances at Quicken Loans Arena, but be warned, there is no chance you won't get the chills while watching this one.
