Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa is in uniform for today's game against Eastern Illinois, but he isn't expected to play.

Persa, who didn't dress for last week's opener at Boston College, was listed as questionable on the team's official injury report. Northwestern likely doesn't want to take any chances with the senior, who is still rehabbing from Achilles' tendon surgery. But coach Pat Fitzgerald has said when Persa is ready, he'll play.

Sophomore Kain Colter will start the game, but Persa suiting up could be a sign he's getting closer to a return.
