Where was the Captain?

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was nowhere to be found in the clubhouse after Saturday night's 6-0 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

Jeter didn't address the media after going 1-for-4 with a first-inning single. It was his 2,965 hit, meaning he's just 35 hits away from joining the 3,000-hit club.

As far as the game was concerned, there was little reason for Jeter to talk. However, given all the turmoil that unfolded in front of designated hitter Jorge Posada's locker after the game, you would've thought the Captain would come out and defuse the situation.

He always has in the past. He just didn't this time.
