Evening AFC West notes

The Chargers may be without receiver Malcom Floyd again because of a hamstring injury. He hasn’t practiced all week. Floyd missed last week’s game. He could join tight end Antonio Gates on the sideline in Cincinnati in a crucial game for San Diego. He is expected to miss the next two games with a nagging foot injury that has kept him out of the past two games and four of the past six games.

Gates said there is no guarantee he’ll even be ready for the playoffs if the Chargers make it. Their first playoff game would be either Jan. 8 or Jan. 9, so Gates will have time to get ready.

Linebacker Stephen Cooper missed his second day of practice with a knee injury. Fellow starting linebacker Larry English was limited in practice. He didn’t practice Wednesday and didn’t play last week with a foot injury. Receiver Patrick Crayton practiced fully for the first time since suffering a wrist injury a month ago. Running back Ryan Mathews was practicing fully Thursday after he missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness.

  • It continues to look like Oakland defensive lineman Richard Seymour could miss the Raiders’ must-win home game against the Colts. He has a hamstring injury and he hasn’t practiced all week. Oakland coach Tom Cable doesn’t sound overly optimistic about Seymour’s chances to play Sunday. The team is still hopeful star punter Shane Lechler can play. He also has a hamstring issue.

  • Denver running back Knowshon Moreno practiced on a limited basis in preparation for Sunday’s game against Houston. Moreno missed Wednesday’s practice with a ribs injury.

  • The Chiefs don’t have any significant pressing injury issues this week.

  • Injured Denver linebacker Elvis Dumervil was cited for an incident at a game in Denver in October.

  • Here is more evidence of Oakland’s dominance of over Denver this season.

  • Here is a look at the passer ratings of quarterbacks on play-action passing and how it relates to the team’s running attacks.

  • Oakland’s home finale against the Colts on Sunday will be blacked out locally. It will be the Raiders’ seventh back out of the season.

  • There will not be a blackout in Kansas City on Sunday.
