Sound-off: Nnamdi Asomugha

Oakland star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has been a big topic around the NFL for the past two weeks since word broke that his contract was voided. Asomugha will be an unrestricted free agent and will likely be the top player on the market.

Our question this week is to Raiders fans. How do you want the Asomugha situation to play out?

Do you want Oakland to sign him at any cost to keep him off the market? Do you want the Raiders let him test the market and then offer a lower annual deal than the $17 million he would have been due in 2011 had his contract not been voided? Even if that means the team will risk losing him? Or do you want the Raiders to let Asomugha leave, so Oakland can concentrate on its many other free agents? If Asomugha leaves, Oakland would be in line for a 2012 compensation pick. It will likely be the No. 97 overall pick at the end of the third round.
