The Buffalo Bills have announced that the team has released quarterback Trent Edwards.

Edwards completed 29 of 52 passes for 241 yards with one touchdown and a pair of interceptions in two games this season before he was replaced in Week 3 by Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Bills coach Chan Gailey is scheduled to address the move at 3 ET this afternoon.
