Injury report: Pace missing from practice

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Linebacker Calvin Pace missed the Friday practice, the last one before the Jets leave for a Sunday game in St. Louis. Pace has been on the injury report this week for a shoulder injury, but he practiced fully on Thursday.

The Jets didn’t immediately have an update on the reason Pace was out, but Rex Ryan will be asked to address it at a press conference early this afternoon.

Running back Joe McKnight practiced with his position during individual drills. It was the second time he practiced this week after missing the Seattle game with an ankle sprain. McKnight’s availability this week could be more crucial given that RB Bilal Powell sustained a concussion on the west coast.

If the Jets don’t want to wear down starting back Shonn Greene, McKnight will be needed.

Linebacker Bryan Thomas, who has been listed with a lingering quad injury this season, worked out on the sideline rather than with his group.
