NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson released the following statement today:

“There is a longstanding NFL rule prohibiting verbal or physical abuse of game officials. Two coaches have been notified that they have each been fined for violating this rule. Denver Broncos head coach John Fox was fined $30,000 and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio $25,000 for verbal abuse of game officials in last Monday night’s Denver-Atlanta game.

“We are reviewing incidents from yesterday’s games involving the game officials and Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.”
