$1 million haircuts for James, Wade, Bosh if LBJ picks Miami

If LeBron James indeed decides to play for the Miami Heat, he -- along with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh -- will have to take $1 million less than the maximum salary all three players are eligible for: $16.56 million.

If you have a few minutes to spare and are not scared off by the type of higher math that would make a trigonometry professor's head spin, click over to the Knicks blog on the ESPNNewYork site, where I have broken  down how this "Miami Thrice" threesome could be accomplished under the NBA's salary cap rules.

If you make it all the way down to the bottom of the post, you'll also see that I have posted three pertinent Miami Thrice-related questions that LeBron himself has to be pondering as everybody counts down the hours until "The Decision" on ESPN at 9 p.m.

And if you want to discuss it further, I will be doing a live chat on the ESPNNewYork site at noon EDT.
