ESPN’s live presentation of Sunday’s MLS Heineken® Rivalry Week matchup between the Portland Timbers and the Seattle Sounders at Portland’s Providence Park has been moved to 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Initially scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN, the match was moved by Major League Soccer due to a heat advisory and unusually high temperatures forecast for the Portland area this weekend. Because of the change, ESPN Deportes+ will stream the entire match live via the ESPN App, while the Spanish-language linear television network will join the match in progress after the conclusion of its Domingo de Grandes Ligas – Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals – MLB telecast.

Sunday will be the 98th Cascadia Cup match between the Timbers and Sounders – one of the longest-running and most intense soccer rivalries in United States club soccer.

The Timbers, the 2015 MLS Cup champions, are led by a triad featuring U.S. Men’s National Team star Darlington Nagbe, midfielder Diego Valeri and striker Fanendo Adi. The reigning MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders feature current U.S. National Team duo Clint Dempsey, leading goal scorer, and striker Jordan Morris, as well as Uruguayan international Nicolás Lodeiro.

Play-by-play commentator Adrian Healey, analyst Taylor Twellman and sideline reporter Julie Stewart-Binks will call the match in English. Sebastian Salazar, Kasey Keller and Alejandro Moreno will host a 30-minute pregame program, live from Providence Park in Portland. Richard Méndez and Giovanni Savarese will provide Spanish language commentary for the game on ESPN Deportes.

Additionally, ESPN cameras will be positioned in the supporters sections at Providence Park throughout the game, streaming live on ESPN3 and the ESPN App to capture the atmosphere.

The program will originate from ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., studio, with host Dan Thomas, and analysts Shaka Hislop and Steve Nicols.
