With the 2017 NFL season looming, it's time to dive into the Pro Football Focus database and rank every roster as it stands now, focusing in particular on how the expected starters stack up in our metrics. PFF grades every player on every play of every game of the NFL and FBS seasons. The Super Bowl won't be won or lost in June, but we can begin to get a very real idea of what things look like on paper, before the real action takes place on the field. A few notes before we get started: Grades in each chart are from the 2016 season (see key below for a guide). Picks for best and worst starter are based on average grades throughout their careers, not just how they played in 2016.
