ESPN International will present live exclusive coverage of the 116th Roland Garros throughout Latin America (excluding Brazil), the Caribbean and on cruise ships sailing the Caribbean.  Telecast coverage from the iconic red clay of Stade Roland Garros in Paris begins Sunday, May 28; and ESPN will be there to cover all of the action with extensive coverage across all of its platforms.

Play will continue daily, culminating with the Women’s Final on Saturday, June 10 and the Men’s Final on Sunday, June 11.  Highlights from ESPN’s coverage include:

  • ESPN’s pan-regional offering will feature the top-ranked players in the world, while the regional networks will provide coverage of players of local interest.
  • In addition to coverage via SD, HD and authenticated platforms, ESPN International’s broadband service, ESPN Play, will stream over 1,200-hours of live Roland Garros matches, including the women’s and men’s finals, providing comprehensive first ball to last ball coverage from every televised court.

The Roland Garros tournament is the second of four tennis Grand Slams and the only Grand Slam that is played on clay. This year’s tournament will gather some of the biggest names in the game. Defending champion, Novak Djokovic, completed his career Grand Slam with his 2016 Roland Garros victory and became the first man since 1969 to simultaneously hold all four major titles after winning his first title at the Roland-Garros.  Defending champion Garbiñe Muguruza who defeated Serena Williams in the final last year, returns as a favorite to defend her title.
