Celtics F Amir Johnson (shoulder) questionable for Game 4

CLEVELAND -- Boston Celtics big man Amir Johnson did not participate in Monday's practice and is questionable for Tuesday's Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Johnson suffered a right shoulder strain in Sunday's Game 3 victory after getting tangled with Tristan Thompson while chasing a rebound in the opening minutes of the first quarter.

The Boston Globe reported Monday that Johnson was scheduled to have an MRI on his ailing shoulder.

When reporters were allowed to watch the final minute of practice on Monday, Jonas Jerebko was wearing starter green along with Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder and Al Horford.

Jerebko, used sparingly in the postseason, gave Boston big second-half minutes while aiding the Celtics' comeback in Game 3. Jerebko finished with 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting over 12:32. He was a team-best plus-22 in plus/minus.

Johnson checked out less than 3 minutes into the first quarter after initially injuring his shoulder. After retreating to the locker room, Johnson returned to the bench wearing a compression undershirt. He played the final minutes of the first half then started the second half but came out quickly again.

Johnson was present for Monday's practice at Quicken Loans Arena and observed from the sideline as teammates shot at the end of the session.

The 6-foot-9 Johnson has started nine of Boston's 16 postseason games this season, including Games 1 and 3 of the Eastern Conference finals. The Celtics have utilized veteran Gerald Green in a starting role in the other seven playoff games.
