Longhorn Network To Air Two Texas Football Games This Season

Longhorn Network, the 24-hour network devoted to the University of Texas, will televise two Texas football home games this season. The two-game slate includes matchups against San José State on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 2:30 p.m. CT, and Big 12 opponent Kansas on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. LHN is the exclusive national distributor of the Texas-Kansas game, except within the state of Kansas and the Kansas City DMA, where the game also will be aired live via the Jayhawk Television Network.

Since its launch in 2011, LHN has televised 14 Texas football games, with the San José State and Kansas games being the 15th and 16th, respectively. This year marks the 7th year that LHN has exclusively televised select Texas football games.

Longhorn Network’s Texas football telecasts will once again be supplemented by Texas GameDay, a two-hour pregame show, and Texas GameDay Final, an hour long post game show. Further details on both the game telecast and the pre-and post-game coverage will be announced at a later date.

It was always a dream of mine to work at ESPN, and here I am! I joined the College Sports PR team in March 2016. Hailing from the great Garden State, I graduated from Seton Hall University (Go Pirates!) with a degree in sport management, where I not only sang the National Anthem at games, but was also a member of the Seton Hall Sapphires Dance Team and a student reporter for Pirate Sports Network. Before joining ESPN, I served as a Public Relations Associate for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
