Unique second screen experience with live game and concert to be streamed on WatchESPN and the ESPN App

ESPN will be collaborating with popular hip-hop producer Mike WiLL Made-It for the first ever “NBA on ESPN Remix,” an event featuring a live viewing party and unique second screen experience for NBA fans. The concert will run concurrently with the ESPN telecast of the Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors matchup on Friday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET. The game and the concert will be presented in a two-box screen experience on WatchESPN and the ESPN App, so fans can simultaneously view the live stream and listen to Mike WiLL Made-It’s performance that will be coordinated to the game action. The NBA game and concert collaboration is the first of its kind for ESPN.

On site at The Mezzanine in San Francisco, fans will be able to watch the game projected behind the DJ booth and walls, while enjoying the live show by Mike WiLL Made-It. For viewers watching on the linear telecast, it will feature live “look-ins” of the venue throughout the game.

“Innovation is a hallmark of ESPN, and this is a great way to connect music to the game action and create a unique experience for our fans,” said Sean Hanrahan, senior vice president of brand and marketing solutions.

About Mike WiLL Made-It
Super-producer Michael Len Williams III aka Mike WiLL Made-It, is credited with catapulting hip-hop back into the mainstream with his signature trap soundscapes. He entered the music industry over a decade ago, producing for high profile Atlanta rappers, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame and Future. Since then, the 28-year-old Marietta, GA native has built an expansive catalog that includes contributions on massive hits for Beyoncé (“Formation”), Kanye West (“Mercy”) and Rihanna (“Pour It Up”). Mike WiLL was also recruited to serve as Executive Producer on Miley Cyrus’ platinum-selling, fourth studio album, Bangerz. The budding young impresario launched his Ear Drummers production company back in 2006, taking five junior producers under his wing. In 2013, Mike WiLL added a record label to the fold at the urging of his mentor, then-Interscope President, Jimmy Iovine, who offered him a distribution deal. The first act signed to Ear Drummers Records, rap duo Rae Sremmurd, recently experienced a ton of success with the Mike WiLL Made-It-crafted smash single, “Black Beatles,” from their sophomore album, SremmLife 2. With a string of successful mixtapes of his own under his belt, the GRAMMY-nominated producer finally gifted the world with his major label debut, Ransom 2, on March 23, 2017, his birthday.
