Sources: FlyQuest adds Flame, AnDa to League roster

Former Immortals top laner Lee "Flame" Ho-jong has signed with FlyQuest along with teammate Andy "AnDa" Hoang, sources close to the team and players told ESPN. Riot Games

FlyQuest has come to terms with top laner Lee "Flame" Ho-jong and jungler Andy "AnDa" Hoang and added the two to its 2018 roster, sources close to the players and team told ESPN.

The team acquired Flame via free agency, after his contract expiration on Monday with his former team, Immortals. That signing was first reported by Inven Global on Wednesday.

Bringing on AnDa was a bit more complex. The jungler, alongside three other Immortals members, was acquired by Team Liquid on Sunday. FlyQuest and Team Liquid came to terms for a buyout of AnDa's contract on Wednesday.

FlyQuest declined a request for comment by ESPN.

Flame and AnDa join a team that currently has AD carry Jason "WildTurtle" Tran and support William "Stunt" Chen on its starting roster, with its mid lane undecided. The team acquired the contract for Stunt away from Immortals on Sunday. It released four of its former roster members, including An "Balls" Van Le, Galen "Moon" Holgate, Hai "Hai" Du Lam and Daerek "LemonNation" Hart, after their contracts expired on Monday.

Flame had previously had contacted the Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA) to register back into the association to compete once again in his home country of South Korea, according to an Inven report. However, he came to a deal with FlyQuest at a later date.

FlyQuest, owned by Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens, was accepted back into the North American League of Legends Championship Series in October. It was among six returning franchises -- Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, Echo Fox, Team Liquid and Team SoloMid -- given a permanent slot in the league.
