SEC Network Devotes 50 hours to SEC Basketball Tournament Coverage

SEC Network concludes producing more than 370 regular-season games in the men’s and women’s basketball schedule with first, second, third and quarterfinal Southeastern Conference tournament games airing on the network, accompanied with a live SEC Now desk on-site throughout each.

The 2017 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament also marks the end of SEC Inside’s basketball regular-season debut. The series – which featured practices, mic-ed up coaches and footage within two programs weekly – will produce a special episode to document an inside look at the Championship teams during the women’s and men’s tournament. Last year’s Championship special included locker room footage and courtside angles and sound previously unseen from the semifinals and title game.

The trophy ceremonies for both tournaments are scheduled to stream on SEC Network + via the ESPN app or WatchESPN.

Women’s Tournament highlights:

For the third year, SEC Now will have a full set presence at the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, hosted by Maria Taylor. Analysts Nell Fortner and Andy Landers will provide pre-game, halftimes and post-game insights on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from Greenville, S.C.

Analyst Tamika Catchings and play-by-play Courtney Lyle will both make their tournament commentating debut, after joining the SEC Network earlier this year and calling games throughout the regular-season television schedule.  Catchings won the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament three times while playing at the University of Tennessee. Gail Goestenkors and Steffi Sorensen return, with Pam Ward on play-by-play this year for the evening games .

SEC Network will televise more than 25 hours of live television from Greenville over three days.
