Alabama's Anfernee Jennings needs MRI after suffering knee sprain

NEW ORLEANS -- Alabama linebacker Anfernee Jennings suffered what coach Nick Saban called a sprained knee during the second half of the Tide's 24-6 win over Clemson in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Jennings is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury and whether he will be available for the national championship matchup with Georgia next Monday.

Jennings finished with three tackles for loss against Clemson.

Alabama has been plagued by injuries at linebacker this season, although a couple players returned for the Clemson game.
