Among the many aspects of the San Diego Chargers' move to Los Angeles that brought about much reaction on social media was the unveiling of a new advertising mark that combines the team's well-known lightning bolt with an LA brand to mark the new home.
(Although a source told ESPN's Darren Rovell that the mark appearing on the Chargers' social media accounts is a working logo and has not been approved by the NFL.)

However, with the basic blue and white colors, the new mark closely resembles the Los Angeles Dodgers logo, combined with a little bit of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The NHL's Lightning were quick to point out the resemblance.

Not surprisingly, there were plenty of parody mockups of the logo on Twitter, including a few fellow sports teams getting in on the fun.

For all the mocking going on, there's no guarantee that will be the mark that sticks once the team kicks off play at StubHub Center this fall.
