Actress Margot Robbie playing former figure skater Tonya Harding seemed like it was a bit of a head-scratching announcement, but pictures leaked from the set, and Robbie totally embodied the role.

Robbie is starring as Harding for the biopic, "I, Tonya," which chronicles the disgraced figure skater's life. No word on who will be portraying rival skater Nancy Kerrigan. I'm holding out hope for thespian Anne Hathaway.
This biopic could be amazing for advancing sports stories that involve women. With "Battle of the Sexes," a movie based on the true story of the 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King and ex-champ Bobby Riggs, coming out later this year, two of the most anticipated sports films center on women.
I guess we finally ran out of football plot lines?
