College Football Week 12: College Football Playoff’s Top Contenders Showcased on ESPN’s Networks
- Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Miami, Ohio State and USC at Home; Oklahoma and Heisman Favorite Baker Mayfield Face Conference Road Test
- Exclusive Reveal of Newest CFP Selection Committee Rankings Tuesday Live from Chicago
ESPN’s week 12 college football Saturday schedule is packed with College Football Playoff’s top contenders including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Miami and Oklahoma. Teams still in the hunt such as Ohio State and USC, will also be showcased as the college football schedule enters the stretch run of the regular season.
Noon Slate Features Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Miami at Home
Saturday’s slate begins at noon ET with Alabama, Miami and Auburn all at home across ESPN’s networks. The Hurricanes, coming off their convincing win over Notre Dame, host Virginia (ABC) as the Canes look to extend their 14 game winning streak and continue their perfect 2017 season. Miami has locked up its first ever trip to the ACC Championship game and has played themselves into one of the CFP’s top contenders. Joe Tessitore, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe will be at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., for the call of the game.
The Auburn Tigers have played their way into the thick of the SEC West and CFP race after winning three consecutive games, including beating Georgia this past week. The Tigers host Louisiana-Monroe (noon, ESPN2) and attempt to avoid a letdown with a marquee matchup vs. Alabama on the horizon. Jason Benetti, Kelly Stouffer and Kris Budden will at Jordan-Hare Stadium for the call of the game.
The undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide will conclude its home schedule with Mercer (noon, SEC Network). Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic will be in Tuscaloosa, Ala. for the game.
The top 5-ranked Clemson Tigers, who have concluded their conference schedule, will host The Citadel on Senior Day (12:20 p.m., ACC Network Extra).
Ohio State and Oklahoma Featured in the Late Afternoon; Sooners QB Baker Mayfield Continues Heisman Campaign
Saturday’s late afternoon window features Ohio State hosting Illinois (3:30 p.m., ABC) and Oklahoma at Kansas (3:30 p.m., ESPN). The Buckeyes can clinch a berth in the Big Ten Championship game with a win, while the Sooners continue to push toward a Big 12 Championship game appearance. The Buckeyes, coming off a dominant victory against Michigan State, are climbing back into the CFP picture. Oklahoma, coming off two top 10 victories, is in a prime spot for a CFP berth as they look to improve on its top 5 ranking. During this recent stretch of success, Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield has played his way into being the top candidate for the Heisman Trophy. Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Todd McShay will be in Columbus, Ohio, while Dave Pasch, Greg McElroy and Tom Luginbill will be in Lawrence, Kanas.
ABC’s Saturday Night Football Features a Classic Rivalry: UCLA at USC
ABC’s Saturday Night Football Presented by Walmart will feature UCLA at USC in one of college football’s classic rivalries. The Trojans have won three straight games and clinched a berth in the Pac-12 championship game. Their cross town rival Bruins would derail any late-season hopes the Trojans have of getting into the CFP race with a victory. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Maria Taylor will be at the LA Memorial Coliseum for the call of the game.

- Undefeated UCF at Temple (Noon, ESPNU)
- Kansas State at Oklahoma State (3:30 p.m., ESPN2 and ESPN Radio)
- LSU at Tennessee (7 p.m., ESPN)
