Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer found an item in his garbage that looked a little out of place on Wednesday.
According to a tweet from Scherzer, his wife, Erica May-Scherzer, mistakenly threw the jersey he wore during his second career no-hitter -- which came against the New York Mets on Oct. 4, 2015 -- in the trash while cleaning the house.

Scherzer followed up his original tweet with a photo of his wife's "dirty" purses in the same garbage can.

Erica responded to her husband's first tweet, acknowledging the mishap -- and the fact that she actually could be sleeping on the couch.

Looks like the dilemma has been resolved, although there's no word on whether Erica's purses made it out of the trash.
