Beginning with the new 2016 Season, ESPN will bring fans the best, most comprehensive NFL coverage throughout Mexico and the rest of Spanish-speaking Latin America.  ESPN’s new four-year agreement with the National Football League begins September 8 at 7:00 p.m. with the Thursday Night NFL Kickoff on ESPN2, with the Super Bowl 50 champion Denver Broncos hosting the Carolina Panthers.  This is the first time a Super Bowl rematch kicks off an NFL season.

This season, and for the next three seasons (through 2019/20), ESPN will air more than 500 hours of total NFL coverage—the most of any channel in Spanish-speaking Latin America—making it the go-to source for the best and most comprehensive NFL coverage in the region.

ESPN is the only place where fans can watch the iconic NFL windows for Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football games throughout Latin America.  It is also the exclusive pay television home of the November 21 NFL International Series game in Mexico City, when the Oakland Raiders host the Houston Texans at Estadio Azteca.  ESPN will air a full week of special lead-up content to this highly-anticipated match.

For the first time, ESPN will air all of the NFL action from all Sunday afternoon games via NFL RedZone, where fans can see every score from every game.  The “whip around” coverage will air on ESPN+, which is the linear television debut of NFL RedZone in the region.

Every week ESPN’s coverage also includes three additional Sunday afternoon games via the Compactos series and signature programs from the NFL Films Library including the new season of HBO’s Hard Knocks which recently debuted on ESPN in Latin America.

ESPN has the NFL covered with a team of over 15 game announcers and expert studio journalists, including two top shows from its new state-of-the-art facility in Mexico City.  NFL Live, a year-round daily show will provide fans with the latest NFL news, reports, highlights and results from seasoned NFL journalists Raul Allegre, Eitan Benezra, Kary Correa, Sergio Dipp, Roberto Garza, Mauricio Lopez, Alvaro Martin, Marcos Martos, Miroslava Montemayor, Miguel Pasquel, Ciro Procuna, John Sutcliffe, Gustavo Tella, Javier Trejo-Garay, Eduardo Varela and Pablo Viruega.   NFL Esta Noche, ESPN’s pre-game show for Sunday Night Football, will feature a mix of our expert panel along with our Monday Night Football version hosted by Eduardo Varela and Pablo Viruega.  ESPN’s Monday Night Football announcer team returns with Alvaro Martin (play x play), Raul Allegre (analyst) and John Sutcliffe (reporter).  ESPN’s Sunday Night Football also features the return of Eduardo Varela (play x play) and Pablo Viruega (analyst).
