Former Mavs first-round pick Rodrigue Beaubois will get legitimate consideration for one of the team's remaining roster spots, according to a source. Beaubois, 28, still has a home in the Dallas area and is using the team's facilities to rehab this summer. The 6-foot guard showed flashes of brilliance as a rookie in 2009-10, highlighted by a 40-point game in a win at Golden State, but his NBA career fizzled in part due to injuries. He averaged 7.1 points and 2.1 assists in four seasons for the Mavs and has not played in the NBA since his rookie contract expired. Beaubois, who visited Dallas' summer league practice Wednesday, played for Strasbourg in France last season.
