Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Bill Callahan will not re-sign with the team before his exclusivity period expires because he wants to consider potential options with other teams, according to league sources.

Sources say eight teams are prepared to interview Callahan, whose title remained offensive coordinator even after losing play-calling responsibilities to passing-game coordinator Scott Linehan.

Callahan is regarded as being one of the premier offensive line coaches in the NFL.

The Cowboys have re-signed coach Jason Garrett and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli this week. The offensive assistant coaches are set to be the next priority with Linehan agreeing late Wednesday to stay with Dallas, a source told ESPN.com's Dan Graziano.
