Glover Quin is NFC Defensive Player of the Week

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- He has interceptions in the past three games for the Detroit Lions and now, Glover Quin was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Quin's 56-yard interception return set up Detroit's first score and helped the Lions come back to a 16-14 win over Minnesota on Sunday. He also had three tackles and has been one of the most critical pieces of one of the NFL's top defenses.

Quin is the first NFC Defensive Player of the Week for the Lions since Cliff Avril won the award in 2011 and the first defensive back to have won the award for defense since Bryant Westbrook did in 2000. R.W. McQuarters won a special teams player of the week award in 2005.
