Ndamukong Suh pulls out of Pro Bowl

Ndamukong Suh might have played his final game with a Detroit Lions helmet on.

Suh pulled out of next weekend's Pro Bowl due to injury and has been replaced by Cincinnati defensive tackle Geno Atkins -- a player he is sometimes compared to -- according to the Bengals website.

When Suh was asked earlier this season about whether he would play in the Pro Bowl, he said he didn't know what he was planning on doing yet.

The All-Pro had one of the most consistent seasons of his career with 53 tackles and 8.5 sacks on the NFL's top-rated run defense.

Suh is heading toward free agency in March unless the Lions franchise or transition tag him.

What the Lions and Suh do has been one of the most talked about issues of the start of the offseason. General manager Martin Mayhew said all options are on the table for Suh, who was the main catalyst for Detroit's defensive success this season.

This leaves Detroit, for now, with one player in the Pro Bowl: safety Glover Quin. Receiver Calvin Johnson previously pulled out of the game citing injury. A couple of other Detroit players -- quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Golden Tate -- could end up in the game depending who else pulls out.
