It’s been quite the summer for Dirk Nowitzki. For starters, he took one hell of a pay cut, giving the Mavs the necessary cap space to make some aggressive roster moves. Dallas added Chandler Parsons, Tyson Chandler, Jameer Nelson, Richard Jefferson, Raymond Felton, Al-Farouq Aminu, and Greg Smith. Dirk also got to watch his home country win the World Cup.

If you aren’t from Dallas, then let me fill you in on one of the city’s best-kept secrets. Dirk plays baseball with all of his Dallas buddies every year, and it’s the best.
