Browns add 11 undrafted free agents, including a Matthews

The Cleveland Browns announced the signing of 11 undrafted free agents on Thursday. Here's a closer look at each player:

Dominique Alexander, LB, Oklahoma — Oklahoma's leading tackler the last two seasons. Mildly surprising that he left school one year early, but did so to take care of his longtime girlfriend and their son (1). Started 35 of 38 games at Oklahoma, All-Big 12 first team in 2015. Finished with 290 career tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles and three passes defensed.

Brad Craddock, PK, Maryland — An Australian who went to Maryland. Grew up hoping to play Australian Rules football, rooting for the Adelaide Crows. When he broke his arm three years in a row, he turned to kicking and U.S. football. Started college as a punter, became the place-kicker when starter was injured. Won the Lou Groza Award in 2014 as the best kicker in the nation. Time was limited in 2015 because of a hand injury. Made 57 of 70 field goals (81 percent) in college.

Kenya Dennis, DB, Missouri — Broke up 18 passes and intercepted two in 26 games played. Was named a captain his senior season after transferring to Missouri in 2014 after two years at Hinds Community College (Mississippi).

Mikell Everette, DB, Sam Houston State — Had 24 passes defensed and seven interceptions in 30 games. Transferred from Pima Community College ins 2014.

J.P Holtz, TE, Pittsburgh — Four-year starter at Pitt. Had career-bests in 2015, when he was a team captain, with 24 catches for 350 yards and four touchdowns. Started 48 of 52 games.

Tracy Howard, DB, Miami — Left high school as the top cornerback in the country. Had his best season as a sophomore, when he had 12 of his 22 starts. Finished with five interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Niles Lawrence-Stample, DL, Florida State — Huge, 313-pound tackle who obviously will be looked at as a nose tackle with the Browns. Scouting reports say he ties up blockers well, a requirement for the nose position. Left FSU with 71 career tackles.

Mike Matthews, C, Texas A&M — The son of Bruce, nephew of Clay and brother of Jake brings a familiar name to the Browns. Bruce Matthews is a Hall of Fame lineman, Clay Matthews a longtime Brown and Jake Matthews is a former first-round pick playing in Atlanta. Mike Matthews started three seasons at center for the Aggies, which means he snapped to Johnny Manziel.

Kyle Rose, DL, West Virginia — Was involved in a legal situation in April of 2015 with a fight in a bar. Apologized and said he would rededicate himself to football as a fifth-year senior, and lived up to the vow. Rose played well in 2015, with four sacks as a nose tackle. Started 33 of 51 games at West Virginia and finished with 155 tackles, 14.5 for a loss.

Patrick Skov, FB, Georgia Tech — Fills a need if the Browns decide to use a fullback. Transferred from Stanford and played in 2015 as a graduate student. Tied for the team lead with 10 touchdowns (six rushing). Ran for 75 yards on 19 carries against Duke.

A.J. Stamps, DB, Kentucky — Converted to safety from receiver. Played in 24 games and finished with 123 tackles and five interceptions.
