FAIL MARY

FLASHBACK

On Sept. 24, 2012, the upstart Seahawks played host to the powerhouse Packers in a "Monday Night Football" game that would become both infamous and unforgettable. The final play of Seattle's 14-12 victory remains a source of controversy, as Seahawks wideout Golden Tate scored the winning TD on a disputed simultaneous catch with Green Bay safety M.D. Jennings -- after blatantly pushing cornerback Sam Shields. The ruling was the tipping point in the NFL's lockout of its officiating crew, as criticism of the replacement refs boiled over in spectacular fashion. ESPN revisits the dubious Fail Mary through the eyes of the figures involved.
