Dontrelle Inman up, Josh Lambo down in Chargers' loss

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A look at San Diego Chargers players who were “up” and those who were “down” in Thursday night’s 23-20 overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders:

UP

Dontrelle Inman: The former CFL standout had his second straight productive game, finishing with eight catches for 82 yards, including a 7-yard reception for a score. And because the Chargers only had four healthy defensive backs available, Inman played some snaps at safety late in the game. Inman finished with three receptions for 78 yards against the Miami Dolphins last week.

Kendall Reyes: The University of Connecticut product made an athletic play on San Diego’s first defensive series, tipping a Derek Carr pass and intercepting at Oakland’s 32-yard line. Seven plays later, the Chargers took a 7-0 lead on a Donald Brown 1-yard touchdown run. Reyes also drew two holding penalties and had another pass deflection with his aggressive pass rush in overtime.

Darrell Stuckey: He made two hustle tackles on kickoff and punt coverage, including chasing down Taiwan Jones when he appeared to break away for a big gain.

DOWN

Javontee Herndon: The undrafted rookie had two drops and slipped on a kickoff return, placing the ball on the San Diego’s 15-yard line to open the second half.

Josh Lambo: The undrafted rookie missed a field goal for a fourth straight game, this one a 48-yarder that hooked wide left.
