A little over a week out from the NFL draft and ESPN analysts Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Jr. are focusing on offense for the Lions with the No. 10 pick.

Just not the players one might expect.

Neither mock draft will account for any trade scenarios that could see Detroit move up to nab receivers Clemson's Sammy Watkins or even Texas A&M's Mike Evans in the first round, but that doesn't mean they won't still look at skill spots.

McShay's latest mock draft has the Lions selecting tight end Eric Ebron out of North Carolina, an interesting pick considering what the team already has at the position, but a player who could turn into a Jimmy Graham type of player eventually for offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi. And it's clear Lombardi, formerly of New Orleans, would like to have a player who can at least approximate what Graham is able to do.

Kiper sticks with wide receiver -- and this is where it is a little bit of a surprise. Watkins and Evans are gone in his mock, yet he has the Lions taking receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from LSU. Beckham Jr. is a very talented receiver who could be a stretch-the-field option for Detroit, but that pick, at least to me, would seem like a little bit of a reach.

The Lions desperately need defensive help, and the next four players off the board in Kiper's mock draft -- cornerbacks Darqueze Dennard and Justin Gilbert, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and defensive tackle Aaron Donald -- could all fill bigger voids for Detroit than Beckham Jr. in an exceedingly deep wide receiver draft.

Soon enough, though, every team will actually have to sit back and make decisions on their own.
