Huskers lose out on Stringfellow

So long, Damore'ea Stringfellow. We hardly knew ya here in the Big Ten blog and we'll miss out on potentially misspelling your name several times.

The former Washington receiver announced at the beginning of this month that he was transferring to Nebraska. He had been suspended by the Huskies after getting involved in an altercation in Seattle after the Super Bowl and pleading guilty to three misdemeanors.

But it turns out that Stringfellow isn't coming to Nebraska after all. He's now going to Ole Miss.

He confirmed that move to the Omaha World-Herald on Thursday night, saying he decided to make the change after visiting the Rebels' campus earlier this week.

Stringfellow would not have been eligible this season, anyway, as he would have sat out under NCAA transfer rules. But with this decision and the loss of signee Monte Harrison to Major League Baseball, Nebraska needs to restock the receiver position for 2015.
