Dominic Raiola to make $1.5 million in 2014

A week ago, the Detroit Lions decided to re-sign veteran center Dominic Raiola to a one-year contract, keeping the team's offensive line intact for a second season.

At the time, all that was known about his salary was that he would be receiving a raise from the $1 million he was making in 2013. Turns out, that raise will be a half-million dollars.

Raiola will make a base salary of $1.25 million in 2014, according to NFLPA records, and also had a signing bonus of $250,000, as reported by the Detroit Free Press.

The 35-year-old's cap number last season was over $3 million, but will be more manageable this year at $1.5 million.

With Raiola's signing and the release of Nate Burleson and Louis Delmas, the Lions are about $3 million under the expected 2014 salary cap of just more than $126 million.
