Sorry, ladies: Matthew Stafford is officially off the market.

The Detroit Lions quarterback got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kelly Hall, recently. The two met when they were students at the University of Georgia -- he was the quarterback, she was the cheerleader -- and have been dating ever since. They moved to Detroit together and as he quarterbacked the Lions, she became involved in the community.

On Monday, she posted a picture with a massive engagement ring -- and ice cream -- on her Instagram. Then her brother, NFL player Chad Hall, posted a congratulatory note on Twitter along with his own Instagram picture.

No word yet on how Stafford proposed or when the pending nuptials will take place.

Stafford was the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft. Hall has been present at many Lions games over the years and occasionally speaks out on Twitter about the Lions, including criticizing fans for booing during a December loss.
