ESPN Audio Provides Extensive Coverage Leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII

ESPN Audio will provide more than 115 hours of programming and 11 live studio shows throughout Super Bowl XLVIII Week from the heart of New York City beginning Monday, Jan. 27, through Friday, January 31. Coverage includes live broadcasts of ESPN’s national radio shows and extensive programming from ESPN NY 98.7 FM (WEPN-FM).

The ESPN Audio broadcast schedule includes:

Mike & Mike

Mike & Mike will kick off the week from Herald Square, site of Super Bowl Boulevard, with a live broadcast Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. ET. Their show is open to the public and free to attend. Mike & Mike is simulcast on ESPN2.

The Herd with Colin Cowherd

Colin Cowherd will also be live from Herald Square with his daily radio show The Herd with Colin Cowherd from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The show is open to the public and free to attend. The Herd is simulcast daily on ESPNU.

SVP & Russillo

Scott Van Pelt and Ryen Russillo will host their daily show, SVP & Russillo from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., live from ABC’s Times Square studio all week. SVP & Russillo is simulcast on ESPNEWS until 3 p.m.

Sedano & Stink

Sedano & Stink, with hosts Jorge Sedano and ESPN NFL analyst Mark Schlereth, will broadcast live from Radio Row at the Sheraton Hotel in Manhattan, Monday – Friday, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Countdown to Kickoff

ESPN Radio will host a two hour Countdown to Kickoff preview show beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Coach & Company

Coach & Company will air Sunday, Feb. 2, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. with host Jonathan Coachman and ESPN football analyst Danny Kanell.

The Mike Lupica Show

Mike Lupica will broadcast his show, the Mike Lupica Show live from Radio Row at the Sheraton, Monday – Friday from noon – 1 p.m. Lupica will also be on air Sunday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco Show

The Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco Show will be broadcast daily from Bryant Park from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

The Michael Kay Show

The Michael Kay Show will also air live from Bryant Park Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. NFL icon Joe Namath will join Kay and co-host Don La Greca on-set Friday, Jan. 31 at 5:30 p.m.

Dave Rothenberg

Dave Rothenberg will host his show from Radio Row on Monday, Jan. 27, from 7 p.m. – midnight and on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The Ian O’Connor Show

Ian O’Connor will host his weekly show on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.

On the eve of Super Bowl XLVIII, Saturday, Feb. 1, ESPN NY 98.7 FM personality Robin Lundberg will host a Super Bowl preview show, live from New York City’s 50 Yard Lounge (One Penn Plaza, 33rd / 34th & 8th Ave). The late-night show kicks off immediately following the Miami Heat at New York Knicks broadcast and goes until 2 a.m. The broadcast is open to the public, but restaurant entry fees will apply. The Heat/Knicks game will be available on ESPN Radio and ESPN NY beginning at 8:30 p.m.

On Super Bowl Sunday, Kay, La Greca and Ruocco, will host a special three-hour pre-game show, Special Super Week live from the 50 Yard Lounge, beginning at 11 a.m. The broadcast, which will be open to the public, will feature the trio’s extensive sports knowledge with interviews and guests leading up to the evening’s game. Restaurant fees will apply to attend.

In addition to Super Bowl programming, ESPN NY 98.7 FM, the home of the New York Rangers and New York Knicks, will have a full week of six live events, with broadcasts of the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series and three Knicks home games from Madison Square Garden, beginning Sunday, Jan. 26. Play-by-play and commentary for the Ranger games will be provided by Kenny Albert, Dave Maloney, and La Greca. Play-by-play and commentary for the Knicks games will be provided by Spero Dedes, Brendan Brown, and Bill Daughtry. La Greca will host a 60-minute pregame show beginning at noon on Sunday, Jan. 26 in advance of the Rangers/Devils matchup.
