Locker Room Buzz: Detroit Lions

DETROIT -- Observed in the locker room after the Detroit Lions40-32 win over the Chicago Bears.

Commitment to win: On a white board at one end of the locker room, a lot of early plans and plays were scribbled in black ink. Toward the bottom were three words -- keys, if you will: “Communicate. Tempo. Finish.” One could say the Lions, although the finish got a little dicey, did all three Sunday.

Family affair: In the midst of a happy Detroit locker room were two kids wearing matching No. 51 jerseys with “Daddy” written in the nameplate across the back. The two celebrating children are the sons of longtime Lions center Dominic Raiola.

A Mexican feast: The Lions’ postgame meal, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, was beef burritos, Mexican pizza and a southwestern chicken wrap. Also on the buffet table -- a giant bucket of Dubble Bubble gum, the kind most players would have had as kids.

Celebration dance: As a happy Louis Delmas was chatting with reporters after a two-interception day, he admitted he didn't have an interception dance selected. "Oh man, I don't know what I was doing," Delmas said.
