NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Upset by the Buffalo Bills leading the NFL in penalties entering Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, Rex Ryan gave his entire team wristbands with the message "Yes sir" -- the only words he wanted his players to use with officials if they were flagged.

Then he broke his own wristband in frustration when the Bills were penalized on the first play of the game.

"I snapped it," Ryan said. "I've got to get a different one."

Told about Ryan's broken wristband after the game, cornerback Nickell Robey and linebacker Nigel Bradham both let out hearty laughs.

"I don't know what to say about that," Bradham responded. "Yes sir. Got to go get him another one."

The Bills were called for being offside on the opening kickoff, nullifying a muffed return attempt by Tennessee's Bishop Sankey that the Titans recovered at their own 2-yard line.

After being flagged for 17 accepted penalties in a loss to the New York Giants last week, the Bills were penalized only seven times in Sunday's 14-13 win over the Titans.

In addition to giving wristbands to his team, Ryan also had his entire team do push-ups in practice if a player was penalized.
