West Indies Icons Brian Lara and Curtly Ambrose join Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne For All-Star Lineup of Cricketers in Three Twenty20 Matches

ESPN has entered into an agreement to deliver coverage of the upcoming “Cricket All-Stars” series to fans around the world.  The Cricket All-Stars features 30 of the most recognizable names in recent cricket history.  These global superstars will be playing three T20 matches in Major League Baseball stadiums for the first time ever.  Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne will captain two teams featuring players from all the major cricketing nations including:

  • West Indies – Curtly Ambrose and Brian Lara
  • Australia – Ricky Ponting and Glenn McGrath
  • England – Michael Vaughan and Graeme Swann
  • India – Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag
  • Pakistan – Wasim Akram and Saqlain Mushtaq
  • South Africa – Jonty Rhodes and Jacques Kallis
  • Sri Lanka – Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara

Coverage of the tournament will be delivered by ESPN Caribbean and streamed live on ESPN Play and ESPNCricinfo.com.  Host venues for each of the three matches are Citi Field, Minute Maid Park and Dodger Stadium – homes for the New York Mets, Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers, respectively.

Additionally, ESPNcricinfo Legends’ Corner – ESPN’s one-hour special – will be streamed globally on ESPNcricinfo.com live from Times Square in New York on Thursday, November 5 at 5 p.m. ET.  Live coverage will also be carried on ESPN Play in the Caribbean and delayed on ESPN2 Caribbean at 8 p.m. ET.  Featured guest panelists joining ESPN moderator Alan Wilkins discussing their on-field rivalry and the current state of global cricket will be “Master Blaster” Sachin Tendulkar, “King of Spin” Shane Warne and “Sultan of Swing” Wasim Akram.
