The Cleveland Cavaliers ‘Big Three’ were not going to let them lose in Game 5 against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. The Cavaliers improved to 7-0 in games in which LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving each score at least 20 points. In the three home games in this series, those three players have outscored the Raptors 129-126 in the first half, including 43-34 in Game 5. Each of those three players contributed to the scoring in their own way. LeBron James
James was once again active getting to the basket, making seven field goals in the restricted area. Of the seven, three were in transition, three were on cuts to the basket and one was off a drive. James also assisted on eight baskets, with the Cavs shooting 8-of-12 off his passes. The Cavs shot 44 percent off James’ passes in Games 1-4. Kevin Love
Love was 8-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-4 on catch-and-shoot 3-pointers. Love had gone cold on such shots prior to Wednesday, making 4-of-12 catch-and-shoot 3-pointers in Games 1-4 combined. Love was also 4-of-5 on uncontested shots, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Kyrie Irving
Irving was 6-of-11 outside the paint in Game 4, and was at his best taking jumpers off the dribble. Irving was 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) on pull-up jump shots in Game 4. That was his best field-goal percentage in a game this postseason.
