          It's been a tumultuous last month on Missouri's campus, but Monday's resignation by president Tim Wolfe has brought a sense of unity among students in Columbia. Wolfe resigned Monday amid criticism of his handling of student complaints about race and discrimination.

          Days before Wolfe's resignation, a group of black players on Missouri's football team announced they would boycott all football activities until Wolfe stepped down. Football practice was canceled Sunday as coach Gary Pinkel and athletic director Mack Rhoades said they would stand by the team's decision to protest. Graduate student Jonathan Butler began a hunger strike Nov. 2 and vowed not to eat until Wolfe was gone.

          Wolfe's resignation prompted many Missouri players to confirm that they will play Saturday's game against BYU in Kansas City, Missouri. They also took to Twitter to express their satisfaction with Wolfe's resignation.
