Wilson Chandler lands 4-year, $46.5 million extension

NBA, Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets have signed Wilson Chandler to a contract extension after restructuring the forward's deal, the team announced Saturday.

The four-year extension is worth $46.5 million and includes a player option in the fourth year, Chandler's agent, Rich Kleiman, said.

Chandler has spent the past five seasons in Denver after the New York Knicks traded him as part of the Carmelo Anthony deal in 2011.

Last season, he appeared in 78 games (starting 75) and averaged 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists for the Nuggets.

For his career, the 28-year-old Chandler is averaging 13.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
